Desiree shared her local version of Al Gore’s Academy Award winning documentary “An Inconvenient Truth” with our local community:

Desiree understands that climate change is the greatest challenge of our time. She knows that we must change to face this challenge head on through concrete action.

For the past 20 years she has promoted environmental and sustainable development as a spokesperson, researcher, reporter, policy advisor and advocate.

Mr. Gore established “The Climate Project” to train others to deliver a localized version of his presentation. Desiree was one of three fortunate Canadians invited to participate in the most recent training held in April 2007.
